The mission of the Menomonie Police Department is to collaborate with the community to provide a safe and peaceful environment while protecting the liberties of all persons.
The vision of the Menomonie Police Department is to be recognized as a professional law enforcement agency that responds to the dynamic social needs of the public through innovative and collaborative efforts involving all community shareholders.
The Menomonie Police Department is a progressive police department that serves Menomonie, Wisconsin. The department of 28 Sworn Officers handle an average of over 16,000 calls for service per year. These incidents range from felony, misdemeanor, traffic and city ordinance arrests to public relations and general public assistance calls.
Of the 28 officers, the Department has a Chief and eight staff officers consisting of two Commanders and six Lieutenants, including two Detective Lieutenants. There are 17 Patrol Officers and three specialty positions. For the specialty positions, one officer is assigned to narcotics investigations and the West Central Wisconsin Drug Task Force and two officers are Youth Services Officers and juvenile crime investigators.
The Department has 7 civilian support personnel that work in areas such as records, court coordinating and general administrative duties.
