Community Resources

 The Bridge to Hope provides services to those affected by domestic abuse, sexual assault, and human trafficking in Pepin and Dunn counties. 

 Stepping Stones seeks to foster a community that prevents hunger, homelessness, and isolation throughout Dunn County. They operate Winter Haven, a warming shelter in the winter months, and a year-round food pantry.

 The Free Clinic of the Greater Menomonie Area provides access to primary health care and preventive health education for the people of Western Wisconsin who have no health care alternative or are under-insured. 

 The Dunn County Humane Society is dedicated to improving the lives of companion animals in our community and finding permanent and loving adoptive homes for the animals in their care.  

The United Way runs the C-3 Center, a free store that provides household items free of charge to financially fragile families and individuals in the county.

 The Human Services Department provides a wide variety of human services. This includes but is not limited to: The Aging & Disability Resource Center, Behavioral Health, Family & Children's programs,  and Economic Support.

 Northwest Connections provides Emergency Mental Health Services to contracted counties in WI. NWC’s goal is to provide the least restrictive response to all crisis situations.

 Arbor Place, Inc. provides multiple levels of care and services for individuals impacted by substance abuse and mental health disorders.  

 The Victim/Witness Assistance Program is a special unit of the Office of the District Attorney.  They provide information, support and advocacy to victims of crime and to witnesses for hearings.  They serve all crime victims, witnesses, and family members of adult and juvenile offenders. 

 The Clerk of Court's office provides administrative support services for all branches of the Dunn County Circuit Court including record-keeping for all court cases, collecting money on court ordered financial obligations, and managing the court's jury system. Additionally, traffic tickets, liquor law tickets and city ordinance tickets are paid at the Clerk of Courts office.

 Extension works alongside the people of Wisconsin to improve lives and communities. 

Extension educators also speak to civic groups and county boards, write newspaper columns, do radio and TV programs, facilitate meetings and build coalitions to solve community problems.  

 Programs include: Weatherization, Community Housing Development Organization, Food Access, Literacy & Skills Enhancement, Residential Energy, Local Foods, and other new initiatives. 

The District Attorney's Office oversees the Pre-Charge Diversion Program, Victim/Witness department, and more. They also provide restraining orders for those needing them.

Their mission is to strengthen member businesses and stimulate regional prosperity. They aim to be the catalyst organization that ensures that the Greater Menomonie Area is a vibrant place to do business, work and live. 

 Downtown Menomonie is a destination point with a business and retail mix that offers unique products, services and events to make visiting Main Street an enjoyable experience.

 The Dunn County Housing Authority (DCHA) is staffed by West CAP and administers two programs: Housing Choice Voucher (HCV) and Family Self-Sufficiency (FSS).

 The Dunn County Sheriff's Department is a full-service agency that provides law enforcement service to Dunn County in West Central Wisconsin.  

The UW-Stout Police Department is a dedicated to create a safe campus for living and learning with programs and resources that are available, accessible, and approachable to students, employees, and campus visitors.
