• $30.80 - $40.58/hour depending on qualifications, incentive pay, residency, etc.

We welcome officers looking for a change. Lateral transfer officers may start at a higher pay step and vacation accrual rate than less experienced officers. 

• High school diploma and 60 college credits or an Associate's degree
• Ability to handle several tasks simultaneously
• Ability to possess a firearm
• Ability to use all standard law enforcement equipment
• Able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
• Clear and concise speech
• Valid driver license
• Eligibility for Wisconsin Law Enforcement Standards Board Certification
• Meet minimum standards for Wisconsin Law Enforcement Academy
• Good driving record
• Good physical condition
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Knowledge and skills in operating computer systems
• No domestic abuse convictions
• No felony convictions
• U.S. citizen
• Vision correctable to 20/20
